Daily Prayer for November 7, 2022

Prayer: Grant almighty God that your redeemed people would heed your voice and strive to obey all that they heard in the preaching of your Word this past Lord’s Day. We confess that we are often distracted by many things. We acknowledge that we face a great battle against the world, the flesh, and the devil. We know that these things seek to snatch away the Word preached in our hearing and make it of no effect. We are weak creatures of dust, but you are strong and mighty, who desire to speak to your people and see them grow in their knowledge and understanding of your Word. Therefore, holy Father, be pleased to seal the things heard to the hearts and minds of your sheep. Please help us to meditate and confer with what we heard and seek to bring forth fruit of it in our lives. Please help us to memorize your Word and hide it in our hearts so that we might not sin against you. These things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Scripture Meditation: 2 Tim. 4:1-5; Lk. 24:14; Deut. 6:6-7; Ps. 119:11; Jas. 1:25
