Daily Prayer for January 18, 2023 (Psalm 24)

Daily Prayer for January 18, 2023 (Psalm 24)

Prayer: Our God, who created all things and decrees all things, we praise your name and give you thanks for the glory you display in your creation day unto day. You are the One who made all that we see and do not see. Yet, what we see proclaims your majesty and glory. When we behold the stars and moon and the sun setting and rising each day, we, as your redeemed people standing awe of you. For you rise as on a throne and declare your glory for all to see. Who can discern these things except those you have purposed to rescue from sin and misery? Therefore, Father, we read and note that our dwelling with you demands perfection in all areas of life. To dwell with you requires a clean and pure heart speaking the truth always. Yet, we do not measure up to these demands. We need a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, to see you in all of your glory. He is the only way in which we can dwell with you. Therefore, Father, we are thankful for your kindness and grace to rescue us and make us able to dwell with you. Please help us to walk worthy of the calling you have placed on us! These things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
