Prayer: Almighty God, we thank you that you hear us when we cry out to you. Though we often worry and grow anxious at the efforts of bad actors and evil people, we do not need to fret because you are our shield. You are the one who defends us from slander, mocking, bitterness, and cursing of other people. We look back at your hands’ work and take note of your goodness to us in defending us and sustaining us. Forgive us for our forgetful ways and fretting about things we cannot change. Please grant us a greater zeal to cry out to you for help in times of difficulty we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
