Prayer: Our Father in heaven, you who are holy and the Creator of all things, we bless your Name today as we bow before your throne from which you rule and reign and govern your creatures and creation in providence. We thank you that you do all things well and that there is nothing outside your sovereign control. We confess to you that we are often discontent with your providence and with those things that you bring into our lives. We beg forgiveness for our lack of trust in you. We know that you are working all things for the good of your people and the glory of your Name. We desire to see you glorified and pray that this day you would teach us contentment. Please help us to live in such a way that you are honored as men see our good works that you have prepared beforehand for us to do. We pray this in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
