Prayer: Our glorious God in heaven, we bless you for another day in which we have the opportunity to serve you and magnify your goodness in our lives. We praise you for our daily bread and how you sustain us with all that we need in this life. We thank you for your mercies that are new every morning. We are grateful that you do not treat us as our sins deserve. Due to the work of your beloved Son, our sins have been forgiven through his work. In your mercy, you watch over us each day and tell us to “watch and pray lest we fall into temptation.” Please help us to be vigilant as to the efforts of our enemy. Grant to us an attitude of prayer that the schemes of Satan may not trap us. We ask that you keep us from being tempted and uphold and deliver us when we are tempted. We pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
