Prayer: Our God in heaven: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we bless your name today as the God who has revealed himself to his creatures through the creation and the Word. We thank you for the glory you show us each morning as we behold the sunrise. We stand in awe of your habits displayed in each season of the year: The calm of winter, the newness of spring, the excitement of summer, and the beauty of the fall. Each day you display your majesty to a watching world, and we are witnesses to all that you do. We thank you for that particular way in which you reveal yourself. We are grateful that you have given us your inspired Word that is breathed out by you and profitable for doctrine, reproof correction, and training in righteousness. Forgive us, Father, for beholding such beauty and not ascribing it to you in worship and praise. Forgive us for taking for granted your Word, which lights our path and guards our way. Please help us, by your Holy Spirit, to bow in humble submission to your mighty works and mighty Word. We pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
