Prayer: As we come to you today, our Father and sustainer, we first want to thank you for the many blessings you give to your undeserving people daily. There is no moment that you do not see and watch over us, guiding our steps and strengthening our hearts so we can walk according to your Word. We bless your name today because you have given us the joy of salvation that your beloved Son purchased with his blood. We bless your name today because you forgive us when we falter and fail and when we transgress your law, turning to other things. Though we mourn the reality of indwelling sin, we praise you because you are a God who delights to forgive his children. We bless your name today because you have redeemed our life from the pit of misery just as you did when you rescued Joseph from where his brothers put him. You have placed our feet on the solid rock, which is Christ. We bless your name today because you satisfy us with good things that you wisely give us. We thank you that you do not always give us what we want or desire, but, as a wise and loving Father, you sometimes withhold things from us for our good. We bless your name for guiding us each day, teaching us to trust you with all of our hearts. Though we confess that we often behave as thankless people, we do love and adore you, the God of our salvation, asking that you will be pleased to grant us more of your Spirit as we seek to glorify you in all things this day. We ask these things, not in our name, but in the name above every name, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
