Prayer: Father in heaven, You alone are our God. We bow before Your greatness and are humbled by this privilege that we can come to You to pray and plead for the things that we need (Heb. 4:14). We adore You – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – for Your love for us, in redeeming us and adopting us into Your family (Eph. 1; Heb.2:10-16). We are thankful that You condescended to our need; that You covenanted together to redeem a people – a chosen people, a holy nation, a royal priesthood (1 Pet. 2:9, 10). We are thankful that through the seed of the woman, You sent the Lord Jesus Christ (Gen. 3:15), clothed with our flesh, made like us so that He could make atonement for us. We confess to You our weakness and our sin. We fail to meditate deeply on Your electing love, Your kindness to us, and Your promise to never leave us or forsake us. Help us to conform our minds towards righteousness (Rom. 12:1-2). Give us grace this day to walk humbly with You. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
