Prayer: Our glorious God and Father, we humbly yet boldly come before you today thankful for the access we have been given due to the work of the great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. Due to his willingness to suffer and die, making atonement for our sins, we now have access to you. As we come to you, we come as creatures of dust and are humbled at your holiness. Forgive us for not loving you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Forgive us for every careless word that passes from our mouths. Forgive us for the remaining darkness that exists in our hearts. We long for the day when we will no longer struggle with sin and life in this fallen world. We thank you that you are a God who is pleased to forgive your children. We thank you that you do not turn your back on us, but, instead, uphold us by your Holy Spirit. Father, we ask you this day that you would be with the leaders of our land. We pray that they would be impacted by the gospel. We ask that you would open their deaf ears and blind eyes so that they would see and hear of the hope that comes from your Son. We ask that you would remind us often to pray for our leaders and all that are in authority over us. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
