Prayer: Our Father in heaven, you who are glorious and mighty who always does what is good and right, we bless your name today. We bow before you knowing that we are mere creatures. You are our creator and our sustainer. We are thankful to you for every breath you allow us to breathe. We know our sins, and they are always before us. Please forgive us for our sins of omission and commission. As we bow before you today, we are grieved by the number of people in our lives that suffer from chronic illness and pain. We are angered at the effects of sin in this world that you made. We are saddened that your people suffer as they do. We look to you, even as the psalmist did, and cry out to you for them. Please help your people who suffer. Please grant them the grace that you promised. Please remove these infirmities. Please use them for their good and your glory. We praise in the name of the one who suffered for our sakes, even Jesus, Amen.
