Prayer: Gracious Father in heaven, we humbly come before You on the start of another day that You have made. We adore and bless Your Name as the one true God of heaven and earth. You alone are holy (Isa. 6). You alone are sovereign over all that Your hands have made (Dan. 4). It is right for Your creatures to worship you as that is why You made us. You made us to glorify You in all that we do (1 Cor. 10:31). Forgive us, Father, for those times that we have not been mindful of this truth and have sinned before You. Forgive us for taking to much credit to ourselves — credit that is alone Yours. Forgive us for not ascribing kingdom, power, and authority to You. Forgive us for not loving You as You have commanded us to do (Deut. 6). We pray that You would cause Your people to walk humbly with You. We ask that You would help those of Your family to find peace and rest in their daily lives. Help those that are struggling with disease, pain, sorrow, and afflictions of every kind. Remind them of Your constant love for them — a love that will never let them go. Be merciful to Your church and guide her in the paths of righteousness for Your Names’ sake. We ask this in the name of Your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
