Prayer: Almighty God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we thank you for your eternal kindness displayed to us in the Lord Jesus Christ. We praise you for your work of redeeming a people to be your treasured possession. In Christ, you have demonstrated your eternal love — a love that has no end even as it had no beginning. Through Christ and his work as the Passover Lamb, we have peace of conscience, joy in the Holy Ghost, an increase of grace, and perseverance to the very end when we will behold him and be like him. Holy Father, you were pleased to crush your Son for our sake. Though we are like sheep and often go astray, you are patient and kind with us, ever conforming us to the image of the Savior. May you be pleased to continue working in our lives, causing us to love you with the deep affection you deserve. May you be pleased, almighty God, to help us do what you command us this day.

This day, we pray that you will be pleased to grant your people the wisdom needed in many spheres of life. Some of us are wrestling with significant decisions that have serious implications for the future. Many people struggle with various issues and decisions that must be made, struggling to understand your mind and will throughout the process. Father, we confess to you that your providence is sometimes hard to read and understand. We acknowledge that we often fail to piece together the intricacies of the divine mind. Yet, we know that you have promised to give your people what they lack. We know that your Word tells us that if we lack wisdom, to ask it of you because you give generously to all those who ask in faith. Therefore, our God, grant that which you promise your children. Please help us not lean on our understanding and trust you for whatever comes. These things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
