Prayer: Our most glorious God and Father, we bow before you today. You are our God, and we joyfully come before you today to praise you for your infinite goodness in our lives. You have redeemed a people to call your own. Through the work of Christ, you have preserved a royal priesthood and a chosen people that enjoy your rest that you have promised, with the sure hope of an eternal rest to come. We long for the day when we will be the church at rest, enjoying your presence and comfort. We look forward to the day when our battle with sin will be over. Forgive us, Father, for failing to love you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Grant to us the forgiveness that you have promised to all those who humble themselves before you. We pray this day for those in our churches that may be wandering from you. Help them, Lord, to persevere by your Spirit. Grant to them the grace to trust you and believe all that you have declared in your Word. Grant them more grace to walk in your ways. Father, remember your promise to always be with your people and never to let them go. We pray this in Christs’ name. Amen.
