Prayer: Grant almighty God that your redeemed people would learn to love you and serve you all their days. We have been brought out of darkness into your marvelous light that we might serve you and honor with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. Though we know we were created and redeemed for this purpose, we confess that we fall short of your glory and are humbled by that fact. We are creatures of dust, but you have placed your blessing and favor on us due to the work of your beloved Son. Therefore, Father, we pray that whether we at or drink, or whatever we are doing, we will glorify and honor you with every fiber of our being. Please grant us a greater measure of your Spirit that we would do and say that which pleases you. Please help us remember that your eye is always on us, and your ear always listens to us as we act and speak. Please grant us a great willingness to love you and others as you have told us. These things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
