Prayer: Grant us, almighty God, a renewed sense of your strength and power as we seek to walk according to your purpose and will. We confess our weaknesses, knowing that we are creatures of dust that often stray from your commands. We are like sheep, and we often go our way instead of the way clearly expressed by your Word. We are often weary due to the constant battle with sin and suffering, both of the mind and the body. We know these things occur due to sin — indwelling sin that prevents us from loving you with our whole heart. We lament the existence of sin in this world, and we grieve at the consequences brought upon us because we live in a world that has rejected you and your beloved Son. Though our Savior came to reconcile sinners to you, many reject this hope and choose to wander in darkness instead. They are blind and deaf, with no hope in this life. Yet, you can rescue them because it is you who gives life to dead people. You are the one who gives sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. We pray that you will bring the hope of salvation to many this day. We pray you would work revival in our land, drawing everyone to yourself. We further pray for your redeemed people, granting them the joy of salvation and a constant reminder of your infinite love. Please help those who are struggling. Please minister to them as only you can. Please remind them of your favor rooted in the work of Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.
