Prayer: Our God in heaven: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we humbly and boldly approach your throne today as your people. You are our God, the Shepherd of your people, and we thank you for guiding and directing our lives. We praise you for your Word that you have given to us. We are thankful that you have been willing to reveal yourself to us through your work of creation and your Word. We adore you for the love that you demonstrated when you gave us your Son.

We confess to you that we fall short of your glory. We grieve our sin and our failure to love you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We mourn our lack of zeal for your kingdom and our fickle affections for your Son. Forgive us, Father.

We pray this day with great boldness as granted to us by the work of your Son, the great High Priest. We ask that your will would be done on this earth as it is done in heaven. We ask that you would intervene in the lives of our friends and loved ones that do not know you. We ask that you would be pleased to open their eyes and ears to the truth of the gospel. We plead with you to warn them of the danger they face. Grant to us boldness to talk with them of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray this in His Name. Amen.
