Prayer: As our God, we praise and thank you for your mercies and grace. You are full of loving-kindness and grace, and you do not treat us as our sins deserve. You have given us many reasons to be thankful in a world of cynicism and misery. Therefore, our God, we will give thanks to you with our whole heart, and we will recount all your wonderful deeds. You have promised us a Redeemer, and in the fullness of time, you brought your Son into this world that he would rescue his people from their sins. You have made great promises to your people, and as a God of infinite faithfulness, those promises are sure to come to pass. We thank you for each day you give to us. From end to end, you have ordained your will to be accomplished in the life of your creatures. We thank you that you are all-glorious and will bring all things to pass for the good of your people. We thank you that you are the one true God, and there is no other. Please help us to be a more thankful people. Please cause us to reflect often on the many blessings you give us. Bring to mind the small and wondrous things that you order for our lives and help us to fix our minds on them while bringing praise to you. These things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
