Prayer: Grant almighty God that your people, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, would walk worthy of the calling that you have placed on their lives. Though we live as pilgrims, surrounded by darkness, we know that we are to be a useful light in the world. Grant, us, O God, that zeal and delight to shine brightly, reflecting your glory and majesty. Grant us, holy Father, the boldness to speak the truth of the gospel to our friends and neighbors. Cause us to live as worthy examples of that which Jesus Christ your Son told us. Forgive us, Father, when we fall short. We confess our lack of zeal and cold hearts at times. We confess our many weaknesses and failures. Though we know you will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, we plead with you for an extra measure of your grace, asking that you would give us your Holy Spirit that we would serve you in love and obedience this day. These things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
