Prayer: Father in heaven, we bless your name this morning as we look to you for guidance and strength to serve you today. We love and adore you for you alone are infinitely kind and loving, a God of compassion and grace. We praise you for saving us from our sin and misery. We thank you for your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who has accomplished all that was needful to bring us into union and communion with you. We confess to you our weak motives and intentions in this life. So often, we revile and curse those who harm us instead of following the words and example of the Savior. We find ourselves, at times, struggling to do what we know is right to do, and it grieves us that we are so easily led astray. We pray that you would forgive us for our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We pray for our churches. We ask that you would purify them and make then a ready bride for her Husband. We pray for your ministers — some of whom are under great attack and facing many difficulties. We ask that you would give them peace today as they labor and work and prepare a meal from your Word for your people. We plead with you to make your people hungry to hear the bread of life tomorrow. Purify your church, O God! Help her and keep her. Teach her to walk with you and live like soldiers and ambassadors in a dark world. We pray these things in the Name of Christ our Savior. Amen.
