Prayer: Our great and holy God, we are blessed to have this one day in seven to come apart from our worldly cares and recreations and worship you with your people. We are thankful that you have provided this day to us to help us and strengthen us in our journey as pilgrims in this world. We long to see your churches full, and we long to see your Son exalted. Therefore, we pray that you would bless us with your presence and speak to us today as your Word is read and proclaimed. May you be pleased, our Father, to bring all glory to yourself and powerfully demonstrate your mind and will to the hearts of your people. May you also be pleased to turn the hard hearts of men to you as the Word is preached. We pray for our communities and those who hear that you would open their eyes to the truth and turn their stubborn hearts to you. Please grant to us a willingness to listen to and obey and please grant to us something of your glorious presence we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
