Prayer: Our glorious Father in heaven, you who are the alone sovereign of heaven and earth. You are the mighty God, and there is no god like you. You have made all things in the space of six days and all very good. You promised your people are redeemer and sent him to demonstrate your never changing, eternal love. We bless you today for granting us rest — rest from our labors on the Lord’s Day, and rest physically with sleep. We thank you for your Word proclaimed and ask that you would cause it to bear much fruit in our lives. We long to serve you and honor you with every thought, word, and deed. We confess that we often fall short of your glory and seek the promise of your forgiveness through Christ, your Son, and our Savior.

We ask this day that you would remember your people with great favor. We pray for the weak and struggling in our churches. We desire to see you comfort and help them in all their needs. Some are struggling physically. Some are languishing spiritually. Lift up the discouraged. Encourage the despairing. Remember your promises to them, we ask in the Name of the Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
