Prayer: Our Father in heaven, we bow before you through the work of your dear Son and our Savior today to plead with you as sons and daughters adopted and eternally loved by you. We thank you for the mercy and grace you display to us each day. You do not treat us as our sins deserve but have demonstrated who you are and your zeal to forgive sin. We know that we could never enter your presence without the work of the Great High Priest, who has accomplished what we never could achieve even if given a million lifetimes. Our debt was so large, but the blood of your Son has cleared it and brought us peace with you. Forgive us, Father, for how we do not walk worthy and consistently as your children. We wander. We go astray. Please help us renew our minds and hearts and actions through your Word penned by your Spirit as a light to our path. Please keep us from temptation and strengthen us when it occurs. Please grant us an extra measure of your grace today that we would live as useful salt and light in a world that is in great need of Christ and the Gospel. All of these things we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
