Prayer: Our Father, you are glorious and great, a God of mercy and comfort. You are the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth, and we bow before your majesty this morning. Each day we are reminded that the fall brought mankind into a life of sin and misery. We know that our spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. We fall short of your glory. We sin against your holy commands. We are ashamed of our tendency to wander from your ways. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to walk with you this day. Remind of us of the cross of Christ. Encourage us with your promise never to leave us or forsake us.

We pray, this day, for the many friends and family members who do not know you. We plead that you would be willing to save them from the bondage of sin. Open their eyes and ears so they may hear the words of Christ who invite men to come unto him, all who are weary. We pray this in the name of your Son, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
