Prayer: Grant almighty God that though we are poor and helpless creatures of dust, you would regard us with favor and grace this day as we strive to walk with you through the various issues and circumstances that you have providentially ordered for us. Grant, we beseech thee that your grace and kindness would warm our hearts and move us to a greater love for you as you tenderly and carefully steer our day, conforming us more and more to the image of Christ. Though we know that we fall short of your glory, and we know that we transgress your law, we are thankful that we can pray and ask you to forgive us for your Name’s sake and pardon our guilt because of what your beloved Son has done for us. Therefore, we pray you to turn your face to us and be gracious to us, especially in times of hardship, discouragement, and loneliness. For we confess how easily we are troubled by these things. Yet, you have told us to trust you, knowing that you will never abandon our souls to the dust. Please help us, Father, to place our entire confidence and hope in your promises, and may we never forget that you will never leave or forsake us. Guard our ways, Lord, and help us to walk with you we pray for Christ’s sake. Amen.
