Prayer: Our Father, you are good and kind, a God of great mercy and love, we come to you today to pray and plead that you would help your church and your people. We bless your Name. We know that you are omnipotent. We confess our weak understanding of your divine plan and providence for your church and your people. Too often, we ask you to explain things that are known only to you. We are too curious, frequently, and forget that there are many things that we do not understand. Help us to trust you and to leave the secret things to you.
Father, we live in a world that causes us to grieve. We witness our brothers and sisters major in the minors. We see your church torn asunder by those who lay unnecessary burdens on others. We pray that you would remember your promise to your church: to bless her and keep her and to bring her safely to a better country where we will see your glory. Bless us today, and help us to walk in your commands and to strive for godliness in all that we do. We ask these things in Christs’ Name. Amen.
