Prayer: Our most holy God in heaven: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we bow before your throne this morning. We do so because you are a great God who is glorious and mighty, the only true and righteous sovereign of heaven and earth. We adore your beauty and witness the display of your majesty each day. From the rising and setting of the sun, from the way you water the earth; from the changing of the seasons, we behold your wondrous works. The heavens declare your glory, and we are witnesses to it each day.

We confess our sins to you today. We confess to you that we often complain about your providence in our lives. We confess that we are not as contented with what we have and, instead, look for more things to satisfy our weary souls. Help us, Father, to be content with you, the triune God. Help us to rest in what you have provided us and help us to focus our whole heart and mind upon you.

Thank you for giving us this day and help us to serve you each moment of it. We pray these things in the Name of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
