Prayer: Father in heaven, we adore your name this morning as the only true God. You are the Creator of all things, visible and invisible. You alone are holy, and you alone are perfectly just. We are humbled at your invitation to come to you to pray, to worship, and to plead with you for the things that we need. Forgive us, Father, for failing to run to you as often as we should. We often worry and fret over matters that we cannot control. Instead of resting in your promises, we think we can solve the issues of our life by worrying. Help us to trust you more and to look to you as our hope and comfort in this life.
Father, you have commanded us to pray for kings and all in authority over us. Therefore, we humbly pray for our leaders in whatever sphere we find them. We ask that you would guide and direct them. We plead with you to bring them to your Son if they do not know him. We ask that you would use their decisions for the good of your church. We ask this in Christs’ Name. Amen.
