Prayer: Grant to your redeemed people, O Lord, your kindness and grace because we are often assailed from the left and the right by wicked and insolent people. We know that we should consider ourselves blessed when we suffer for truth and righteousness. We also know that the godly will be persecuted. Yet, we cry out, “How long, O Lord” must your people suffer at the hands of wicked people? When will you vindicate your church and treat the wicked with the justice that only you, the righteous Judge, can deliver? We plead with you, Father, to make right the wrongs committed against your church and your people. We ask you to defend the bride of your dear Son. We ask that you not allow the wicked to prance around in their arrogance. Day and night, your people cry to you, seeking relief. Please hear us for your Name’s sake and the glory of your Kingdom. These things we pray in the name of the true King and Lord of all, Jesus Christ. Amen.
