Prayer: We give thanks to you, our God, because you alone are good and kind, a holy Father who cares for his people and watches over them with patience and steadfast mercy. We give thanks to you, our God because you have performed wonderful deeds in the lives of men — the greatest of these is redeeming a people to yourself. We confess that words do not adequately convey our gratitude for all you have done in our lives. You have not treated us as our sins deserve. You have buried them in the deepest ocean. You hear us when we cry out to you, and you are mindful of our many needs and concerns. You never grow tired of hearing your children pray, and you never refuse to forgive us when we sin. Thank you, Father, and help us today to serve you and glorify you in all that we do. We know we are creatures of dust in constant need of your Spirit that we might obey you. Please help us to be zealous and diligent in calling out for help as we need it throughout our day. Please grant us watchful minds and hearts that we might not fall into temptation. Be pleased, holy Father, to glorify yourself through us this day we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
