Prayer: Father, we take time to thank you today for the great gift of salvation that you alone accomplish in the lives of sinners. We praise you for the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, who willingly humbled himself to and served his people. We stand in awe of his humility in securing our redemption by setting his face like a flint to go to Jerusalem and willingly suffer at the hands of sinners and dying on a cruel and cursed cross. We thank you that he has risen and is now mediating for his people in the throne room of heaven. We are grateful for your grace and mercy, and we desire to bear fruit in response to your infinite and unchanging love for us. We pray for our friends and loved ones who have yet to see the beauty of the Savior. We pray that they would hear his gracious invitation to come to him, all that are weary because he will give rest to their troubled souls. We ask that you would open the eyes of the blind and resurrect the dead and bring to them life. We ask this knowing that it is you alone who brings salvation to sinners. Please be gracious to them and save them for the sake of your Son. We pray this in His Name. Amen.
