Prayer: Our Father, you are very kind and gracious to us. You have given us the Lord’s Day where we are able to worship you and hear from you as your Word is read and preached. Yesterday, we ate of the bread of life that feeds our soul Today, we pray that you would bring forth fruit of the preached Word in our hearts and lives. We long to be obedient to what we heard. We do not want to be mere hearers of the sermons, but doers of them as well. We pray that you would grant us the benefit of the centrality of preaching. We ask that your Holy Spirit would seal what we heard to our hearts and lives so that we would not sin against you. Forgive us for our laziness. Help us to walk as you have commanded and to emulate the Savior in all that we do. We pray these things in the Name of Christ. Amen.
