Praying through the Westminster Shorter Catechism
Prayer 15
Westminster Shorter Catechism Q4
Q. 4. What is God?
A. God is a spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness and truth.

Prayer: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. We bless and adore your majesty and beauty. You alone are the thrice-holy God, and there is no other. As our Father, we have been invited to come to you and worship, adore, and praise you. We ascribe to you the glory due to your name. We confess to you our weakness and our failures. We sin daily in thought, word, and deed. We are ashamed of how much our love for you changes. We are fickle creatures, and we mourn the remaining and indwelling sin in our lives. Forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We thank you that your Word teaches us that you are a God of truth. As such, you cannot lie. There is no shadow of turning in you. Every word that comes from, you can be trusted and believed. We are grateful that you have revealed yourself to us in truth and in your Son, who is the way, the truth, and the life. Help us, Father, to believe what you have told us and to depend on your infallible Word as food for our soul. We pray this in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
