Beginning Monday, March 26, 2018, I will be blogging through the Bible. I do not promise anything profound. I am doing this for my benefit as I seek to learn and understand God’s Word. The schedule will be simple. I will write each weekday (Mon-Fri) on two chapters: one from the Old Testament and one from the New. I will begin in Genesis 1 and Matthew 1 and continue until it is completed.
- A summary paragraph of the main items/ideas in the chapter.
- Key places and people.
- Key terms.
- An outline.
- Further study recommendations.
Over the course of the next five years, I am going to be blogging through the Bible at a rate of 3-4 chapters per week. That means it will take me 298 weeks (a little over five years) to complete this process, writing on four chapters per week. The plan is to finish the goal. I am not in a hurry. The target will be to enrich basic Bible knowledge (names, dates, places, facts, events, etc.) and not wade into controversial discussions.
Each entry will have the chapter in full, with an outline of the chapter with the main factual items. At the bottom of the entry will be a section for further study.
