Another Update and Plea from Greenville

Another Update and Plea from Greenville

I want to take another opportunity to update my friends and family as to what the Lord has been doing this week, my first week, in Greenville, SC.  As most of you know by now, I have transitioned to the area in order to pursue my seminary studies at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (you can read more about that here).  The first order of business was to secure a job in the local area.  The Lord was pleased to grant me an interview on Tuesday at Level One.  Level One is the dominant provider of outsourced contact solutions for the multi-family apartment industry.  On Thursday I was involved in a four hour selection and interview process that was both informative and taxing.  At the end of this second interview I was offered a position with the company as a Marketing Associate.  Currently my job classification is full-time and I was offered $10 per hour.  My wife and I are very grateful to our loving and good God for bringing this position to us so quickly.  God’s providential care throughout this process has been very clear and very humbling.  We are thankful beyond words.

Though this job is a great blessing we are still faced with the daunting task of maintaining two households for the next few months.  We are falling behind for June and my first paycheck will not arrive until June 24th (we are paid every two weeks).  Therefore, we are asking our friends and family to prayerfully consider helping us in the following ways:

1.  My church, Immanuel Presbyterian (PCA) in Norfolk Va has graciously approved a support fund that friends and family can give to help support us, and, at the same time, use this gift as a tax deductible donation.  If you would be willing to help with either a one-time gift or with a commitment to monthly support, please send a check to:

Immanuel Presbyterian Church
4700 Colley Ave
Norfolk VA 23508

Memo line:  William Hill Scholarship Fund

We are currently trying to generate $500 per month of support to supplement our already existing income.

2.  Please pray that God would bless my labors here in Greenville and meet all of our needs here and back in Norfolk where my wife is currently residing and managing that home.  Pray that God would grant us great confidence in His providence and will and that we would grow mightily during this time.

We do have a serious need.  This much is obvious and we are asking our brothers and sisters to help us, and, in this way, help the Kingdom as I prepare for the gospel ministry.  We are painfully aware of the difficulties that many face in a time when financial crises abounds.  We feel it with you.  If you are unable to give then please pray for us and with us during this time.

If you are willing to support us in some way please drop us a line and let us know so that we can properly thank you for your gracious help.
